Tim Prillaman has spent over 28 years providing leadership to Human Resource functions for companies such as Lane Furniture, Perdue Farms, Advance Auto Parts, Stanley Furniture and Vaughan-Bassett Furniture Inc. Throughout his career, he reported to some of the most esteemed and respected leaders in America. It is the “lessons of leadership” from these extraordinary professionals that Tim credits his professional success today.
The Prillaman Group Inc. was founded in 2002 to provide HR consulting services to small and medium sized businesses and executive search for all companies. Tim doesn’t recruit only one discipline as many recruiting firms primarily because his experience in Corporate America has required him to recruit all professional disciplines. Tim has professional experience in manufacturing, food processing, logistics, and manufacturing support functions such as Accounting, Engineering, Human Resources, Quality, Safety, Sales, Procurement at managerial and executive levels.
He is most proud of the American Furniture Manufacturers Association safety record of 3.7 million man hours without a lost time accident while working for Vaughan-Bassett. This record was eventually broken by Stanley Furniture’s Robbinsville, NC plant with 4.3 million man hours during Tim’s tenure at Stanley Furniture as VP of Human Resources and Consultant upon founding The Prillaman Group Inc..
Tim has a passion for training and development. His personal philosophy on training is it must be informative, entertaining, real world, and behavior changing. He possesses the unique ability to relate stories and experiences from his past to make his point.
